Atlantis Fundraising 07/08!

Please find listed below some of the fundraising events that are currently underway or will be taking place throughout our 2007/08 dance season…

1) Penticton Valley First Vees (ongoing)

   Program & Puck Sales

We are happy to announce that Penticton School of Dance has been selected to sell souvenir programs and pucks at every home game of the Vees 2007/08 season (including playoffs) and a percentage of all sales will be given to our fundraising efforts all season long.  If you’re a hockey fan this fundraiser is for you!  The more programs & pucks we sell the more money we make so let’s join the Vees and show some team spirit!

2) Hot Dinner Thursdays (ongoing)

Every Thursday at Penticton School of Dance (between 5:30-7:00pm) we would like to offer a hot meal to our dancers with ALL proceeds going to our fundraising efforts.  Each family that would like to participate in our Atlantis trip is asked to donate 1 night of their time & services to offer a hot meal of their choice.
 

Families that choose to participate in this fundraiser will be responsible for donating all food & drink items for their chosen night and you will have full use of our kitchen including a stove, fridge & microwave.  Keep things simple or even prepare everything at home ahead of time.  All proceeds from your hot meal night will go directly to your family account at the studio.  To contribute a hot meal from your family please call Linda Berry at 492-4108.

3) PSD Yearbook/Annual (ongoing) 

For the first time in 29 years Penticton School of Dance will be creating & selling a yearbook of our 2007/08 dance season complete with photos, write-ups, memorable moments and more.  Photos for the yearbook will be taken throughout the 2007/08 dance season and ad space will be available for sale to help cover production costs.  Yearbooks will be in a magazine-style format and they are pre-selling for $15 each.

4) Bake Sale @ Cherry Lane (Oct. 20th)

Following our great success from last season we are, once again, going to be selling baked goods at the annual Charity Bazaar at Cherry Lane Shopping Center on Saturday, October 20^th.  All families wishing to participate in our Atlantis trip are asked to donate a minimum of 1 baked good (cake, pie, plate of cookies, banana loaf, etc.) by October 19th.  All donations can be dropped off at the studio and must be accompanied with a recipe card with all ingredients you used to avoid any potential allergy concerns from buyers. 

5) Poinsettia Sales (until Nov. 1st)
What better way is there to welcome the upcoming holiday season than with beautiful holiday poinsettias in your home!  Penticton School of Dance will be selling an assortment of poinsettias this year and the deadline for all orders is November 1^st, 2007.  Order forms will be distributed in class and orders can be dropped off at the front desk before the deadline.  Be festive and support a good cause at the same time!  Extra order forms also available at the front desk.

 6) SUPER PARTY! (Dec. 8th)
Have you ever heard of “The Pampered Chef”, or how about “Tupperware” or even “Watkins” or “Regal”?  On Saturday, December 8^th Penticton School of Dance will be hosting a SUPER PARTY where up to a dozen different vendors will be set up selling their products as a fundraiser for our studio trip.  This unique set-up is the best way to find gifts for everyone on your list and instead of attending house parties or cooking shows to get these popular products you can now find them all in the same room at the same time WITHOUT any pressure!  Come and check out our PARTY in studio #5 (downstairs)!

 7) Penticton Valley First Vees (Dec. 10^th-14^th)

   Merchandise Sales @ Cherry Lane
Come and check out the great merchandise and gift ideas from the Penticton Valley First Vees at Cherry Lane Shopping Centre from Dec. 10-14^th!  Penticton School of Dance will be selling Vees merchandise (which make great Christmas gift ideas) and we will receive a percentage of all sales for our studio trip to the Bahamas. Support your local hockey team as well as your local dancers during this busy holiday shopping time!  See you at Cherry Lane

 8) Epicure Selections (until Dec. 12th)
Need a great Christmas gift idea?  How about giving a delicious “Triple Dip” product from Epicure Selections while contributing to a good cause all at the same time!  Dancers who will be travelling to the Bahamas are asked to sell as many “Triple Dip” products as they can and for each order received you will receive $5.00 in your account.  This beautifully packaged 3-jar set of Epicure herbs (for mixing original flavoured dips) comes with a gift bag and recipe book and sells for only $20/set.  Early-bird deadline is November 23^rd and our final deadline for orders is December 12^th.  Please see the front desk for more info!
