Learning choreography from the Broadway musicals “Hairspray” & “Legally Blonde” by the actual Broadway choreographers themselves!

EXTRA, EXTRA! 

• learning Brian Friedman’s cool “towel routine”…so how many times were YOU whacked in the face?!
• getting used to the “New York dance look”…knee high socks, short shorts & little halter tops!
• exchanging all of our commemorative Penticton pins with other dancers from around the world!
• watching our senior dancers perform their modern routine in front of the choreographers from So You Think You Can Dance!
• seriously, could we have bought any more dance clothing from this convention?!

On The Down Low…

* finding out what Shane Sparks’ secret nickname is (and why) from Mia Michaels herself…we’ll keep this one a secret though!

* during Q & A sessions, learning insider details about So You Think You Can Dance such as who the choreographers favorite dancers are this season, who they thought SHOULD have won last season, who is banned from returning to audition for the show, who they think will win this season and so much more!

* we now all know how tall Shane Sparks actually is!

* finding out what one of Mia Michaels’ most embarrassing moments was…and believe us, it WAS embarrassing!

FINAL THOUGHTS…

As long & as hard as some of
the dance days may have been
I know that we are all in
agreement that this New York
experience was undoubtedly
worth it and truly a once-in-a-
lifetime opportunity. We were
all so fortunate to have been a
part of such a special
experience and I hope you all
will cherish the memories that
this trip has brought you.
